The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  The Golden Hurricane fell to 1-2 on the season, while the Bearcats moved to 1-1 overall.

"Of course, I'm very disappointed," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said.  "We had the wind the first half but couldn't get anything going.  To give up three goals in a half is a tough mountain to climb.  I thought we did alright in the second half against the wind and didn't conceded anymore goals, but we didn't create many chances.  Hats off to Cincinnati. They are always a tough team to play against and they do a good job of disrupting possession and because of that we were always on our back foot."

Camryn Hartman put the Bearcats on the board as she picked up the ball at midfield, dribbled to just outside the left side of the 18-yard box and shot into the lower right corner at the 26:37 mark.  Ashley Baron headed in a corner kick taken by Karli Royer in the 37th minute from just a yard out to put Cincinnati up 2-0.

Brandi Thomsen added a score for UC at the 41:00 mark off a combination from Kaitlyn Andrews and Alli Pestaina to go into halftime up 3-0.

Neither team found the back of the net in the second half.

Liliana Fernandez had two shots, both of which were on goal, while Emily Brandenburg added one attempt.  Emma Malsy logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked six saves.

Cincinnati had a 16-3 lead in shots, including a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal, and a 3-1 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, March 13 at USF.  Game time is set for 6:00 pm in Tampa.
