Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team No. 3 Seed at AAC Championship

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL  I  GAME NOTES

ORLANDO, Fla.  –– The Tulsa women's tennis team received the No. 3 seed at the 2021 American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship which will take place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. 
 
The top four seeds will receive a bye in first round competition and will open their tournament play in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 23. UCF has earned the No. 1 seed, SMU is the No. 3 seed and Tulane comes in as the No. 4 seed.
 
Tulsa (13-6) will play the No. 6 seed Memphis Tigers (6-13) at 7:30 a.m. (CT)/8:30 a.m. (ET) on Friday. Tulsa defeated the Tigers in early February by a 5-2 score at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The women's championship continues with the semifinal round on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The Tulsa-Memphis winner will face the winner of the No. 2 SMU vs. Cincinnati/Wichita State match.
 
Seeds for the championships are determined by the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The winner of the women's championship will earn The American's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.
