Tulsa’s Michelle Sechser Finishes Fifth in Olympic Lightweight Double Sculls; Jennifer Casson was 12th Overall

The University of Tulsa rowing alumna Michelle Sechser and her teammate Mary Reckford finished fifth for the United States in the Lightweight Double Sculls at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.  Alumna Jennifer Casson and her teammate, Jill Moffatt, were 12th overall in the event and represented Canada.
 
Sechser and Reckford turned in a time of 6:48.54 in the 'A' Final, just one second behind Italy, which won the gold medal in a time of 6:47.54. 
 
Casson and Moffatt recorded a time of 6:59.72 in the 'B' Final, trailing top finisher Switzerland by 10.56 seconds.
