The Tulsa volleyball team fell to Arkansas in four sets, 25-17, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21 during Friday night's Tulsa Invitational.
Kayley Cassaday once again led the Hurricane, posting a team-high 13 kills to go along with four blocks. Avery Kalsu totaled three serving aces on the night, while Callie Cook, who has the most blocks in school history, tallied a team-best five blocks on the night.
After dropping the first set, Tulsa bounced back, going on a 9-1 run to go up 18-11 and force an Arkansas timeout. Eventually, consecutive kills by Bailey Rowe, Kylie Trefflich, and Maggie Hembree sealed the second set victory for the Hurricane.
But in the end, the Razorback duo of Taylor Head and Jillian Gillen was too much, as each girl drilled 18 kills a piece on the way to an Arkansas 3-1 victory.
Tulsa will wrap up the Tulsa Invitational tomorrow against crosstown rival Oral Roberts at 3 pm.
