Tulsa rower Johanna Kristof competed at the European U23 Rowing Championships in Poland this past weekend.

A junior from Osterreich, Austria, Kristof earned a sixth-place finish in the Women's 2x.  Kristof and her teammate, Tabea Minichmayr, recorded a time of 7:11.58, trailing teams from Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Switzerland and Belgium in the 'A' Final.

"We had good races, especially for our first time together as partners," Kristof said.  "This weekend was a good way to finish up my Under 23 career."

"We are all really proud of Johanna," Tulsa Head Coach Kevin Harris said.  "Johanna has worked hard to be one of the best rowers in the world throughout her career.  Austria has a great sculling tradition and we are looking forward to having Johanna bring that back to Tulsa.  She is also an accomplished student and we'd both like to thank Assistant Dean Kirsten Olds and Johanna's professors for granting Johanna leave to compete at her last U23 European Championships."
