Tulsa's Malik Henry-Scott and Alex Lopez were named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, as announced today by the league office.
Henry-Scott, a sophomore forward from Plano, Texas, recorded a goal and an assist to help lead Tulsa to a 3-0 win over #8 Missouri State in the teams' only game of the week. Henry-Scott's goal was the third of the contest, while his assist was on the game-winning goal scored by Ben Barkley. Henry-Scott had three shots, the second most for the Golden Hurricane in the contest, in 48 minutes of play. This was his first collegiate goal and third assist of his career.
A freshman goalkeeper from Madrid, Spain, Lopez logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up four saves to give Tulsa a 3-0 shutout win over #8 Missouri State last week. This was Lopez' second game between the posts and first career clean sheet.
