Tulane got an and-one to go back up 8-6 before an Idowu layup evened the score. The two teams traded 3-pointers to even the score at 11 headed into the first media timeout at the 15:13 mark.
Tulane went on a 12-1 run out of the timeout with Tulsa's only points coming from Jackson going 1-of-2 from the free throw line. The fourth Green Wave 3-pointer of the opening half made it 23-12 with 11:57, forcing a timeout from the Hurricane.
The run continued as Tulane scored the next seven points before Pritchard finally stopped the bleeding with a jumper in the lane to make it 30-14 with just under 10 to play in the first half. Both teams followed with and-ones as Tulane extended its lead to 19 before Nikita Konstantynovskyi muscled his way to the rim and then knocked down the ensuing free throw.
A 3-pointer with 1:55 on the clock in the first gave Tulane its largest lead of the first half, 50-24. The Golden Hurricane outscored Tulane 7-2 over the final two minutes of the half, including a triple from LaDavius Draine to make the score 52-31 at the half.
Tulsa shot 46 percent in the first half, but Tulane hit 67 percent of its shot and 67 percent of its three-pointers. Tulane also led the first half turnover battle 10-2 and scored 19 points off Tulsa turnovers.

The halftime break didn't cool Tulane off as R.J. Mcgee knocked down a three in the corner to give Tulane a 55-31 lead. From there, Tulsa was unable to get the lead under 20, as the Tulane lead hovered between 21 and 27 for the first 10 minutes of the second half.
The Green Wave took an 83-52 lead with 8:29 to play on a Cook layup, but Griffin hit another three to bring it back to 28 points. Idowu hit a pair of free throws before Tulane responded with a quick five points to extend its lead back to 31, 88-57. Tulane eventually pushed its lead to a game-high 34 at 92-58 with 4:26 remaining and would do so again twice more, including a 3-pointer to close out the scoring.
Next up, the Golden Hurricane welcomes South Florida to the Reynolds Center for this season's Coaches versus Cancer game. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Jan. 29, and the game will air live on ESPN+.
