TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball team could not overcome a potent Houston Cougars (24-2, 15-0 AAC) offense, falling at home in straight sets (20-25, 11-25, 19-25) Friday night.
The loss dropped the Golden Hurricane's record to 11-15 overall and 4-10 in American Athletic Conference play.
Outside Kayley Cassaday finished with 12 kills on the day to lead the Hurricane attack. Defensively, libero Marta Pecalli led the way with nine digs.
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, Nov. 13, to host Tulane (8-18, 3-12 AAC) at 1 p.m.
Game Notes
» Tulsa (6) and Houston (10) combined for 16 service errors on the night.
» Camryn Lingenbrink and Kayley Cassaday led Tulsa with two blocks each.

SET 2 | A 25-11 set-two loss put Tulsa in a 2-0 hole in the match. Tulsa trailed by as many as 14 points as Houston grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was tied three times before the Cougars took over the lead.
SET 3 | Houston finished off the sweep with a 25-19 third-set victory. Tulsa trailed by as many as six points as Houston grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1.
