TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball team (11-14, 4-9 AAC) returns to the Donald W. Reynolds Center to play American Athletic Conference foes Houston (23-2, 14-0 AAC) and Tulane (8-17, 3-11 AAC).
 
First, the Golden Hurricane will take on No. 23-ranked Houston on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. Then, Tulsa will face Tulane on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m.

Through 11 weeks of competition, Tulsa remains the nation's leader in two statistical categories––team digs per set at 18.52 and team attacks per set at 39.85. Tulsa's total number of digs––1,759––is the 12th-highest mark in the country.
 
In The American, Tulsa ranks first in digs (1,759), digs per set (18.52), and team attacks per set (39.85). The Hurricane also ranks among the top half of the league in several other categories––fourth in kills (1,216), kills per set (12.80), assists (1,130), and assists per set (11.89).
 
Senior outside hitter Kayley Cassaday leads The American with 418 kills and 1,298 total attacks. She also ranks second in the conference for kills per set (4.40), total points scored (455) and points per set (4.79).
 
Cassaday leads the country in attacks per set with an average of 13.66 … Nationally, she is also third for total attacks (1,298), 13th for total kills (418), 16th for total points scored (455) and 30th for points per set (4.79).
 
Sophomore libero Marta Pecalli ranks second in the conference with 5.06 digs per set and third with 481 digs. She ranks fifth for service aces (29) and eighth for service aces per set (0.31) … Nationally, Pecalli ranks 18th for digs per set (5.06) and 28th for total digs (481).
 
Friday will mark the second meeting between Tulsa and Houston this season. Back in October, the Cougars swept the Hurricane, 3-0, in Houston, to move the overall series to 23-14 Tulsa. Houston has won four of the last five meetings.
Houston is first in The American for service aces (150) and service aces per set (1.63), and second for hitting percentage (.247), opponent hitting percentage (.168), assists (1,201), assists per set (13.05), kills (1,288) and kills per set (14).
 
Houston Libero Kate Georgiades leads The American with 5.25 digs per set. Outside hitter Abbie Jackson leads the Cougar attack with 360 kills at 3.91 kills per set on the year.
 
Last week, Houston earned 3-0 sweeps over Tulane and Cincinnati (7-17, 5-9 AAC).
 
Tulsa and Tulane will meet for a second time this season. In late October, Tulsa secured the 3-0 sweep in New Orleans to snap a four-match losing streak against the Green Wave. Tulane sits in last place in The American with a 3-11 league record and an 8-17 overall record. The Green Wave is fifth in the league for team hitting percentage (.214).
 
Outside hitter Amarachi Osuji leads the Tulane attack with 265 kills on the year … Middle blocker Kayla Kaiser is third in The American for service aces (36) and service aces per set (0.37) and seventh for hitting percentage (.319).
 
Last week, the Green Wave fell 3-1 on the road to Cincinnati after dropping straight sets to Houston.
