
Freshman Lily Hutchings Named AAC Player of the Week

TULSA, Okla. ― Tulsa freshman Lily Hutchings was named the American Athletic Conference player of the week, the conference announced today. Hutchings is the second Tulsa player to be named player of the week, joining Laia Conde Monfort who achieved the honors on January 25th.
Hutchings had a major impact in Tulsa's 6-1 win over Tulane last weekend. After a two-week hiatus, Hutchings won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5 singles to improve to 4-2 on the season, while clinching the doubles point for the Hurricane 6-4 at No. 3 doubles. Hutchings and her doubles partner Ana Naranjo Martinez are now 5-2 on the season.
Hutchings and Tulsa hit the road this week, playing at Wichita State tomorrow at 1 pm before heading to Stillwater to take on No. 22 ranked Oklahoma State Sunday at 1 pm.
