
Tulsa to Play at Wichita State, #22 Oklahoma State this Week

TULSA, Okla. ― After defeating AAC foe Tulane at home last weekend and improving to 6-1 on the season, the Tulsa women's tennis team will hit the road for its second road trip of the season at Wichita State tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm before playing No. 22 Oklahoma State on Sunday in Stillwater at 1 pm.
Last Friday, Tulsa defeated Tulane 6-1 inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Tulsa won all three doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play. So far this spring, the Hurricane are 29-9 in singles and 16-4 in doubles.
Earlier today, freshman Lily Hutchings was named AAC Player of the Week for her performances in the win over Tulane. Hutchings is the second Hurricane to achieve the honors, joining Laia Conde Monfort who won back on January 25th.
First up on the road trip is AAC foe Wichita State. The Shockers are 5-3 on the season, and 3-0 at home so far, including wins over Creighton and Florida Atlantic. Tulsa has won its past two matchups with Wichita State, including a 4-2 win last March in Tulsa.
Oklahoma State will be Tulsa's second ranked opponent this season after playing North Carolina last month. The Cowgirls are 4-1, and also 3-0 at home, posting wins over Missouri and Arizona State last week. OSU will host USC on Saturday before Tulsa. The Cowgirls have won the previous three meetings against Tulsa.
