TULSA, Okla. ––
University of Tulsa graduate senior forward Jeriah Horne has been selected to participate in the 68th Annual Portsmouth Invitational, an all-star tournament showcasing the best collegiate senior basketball players in the country.

Horne will compete with 63 other seniors in a four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from NBA and overseas teams. The tournament will be played at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va. from April 13-16 and Horne will play for the Roger Brown's Restaurant team.

His teammates include Grant Golden of Richmond, Silvio De Sousa of Chattanooga, Jericole Hellems from NC State, Connecticut's Tyrese Martin, Bryce Hamilton out of UNLV, Tommy Kuhse from Saint Mary's and Maryland's Fatts Russell. They'll play their first game Wednesday night at 9 p.m. against K&D Rounds Landscaping.

This is the second tournament Horne has competed in after the conclusion of his senior season with the Golden Hurricane. He helped his team to a runner-up finish at the Dos Equis 3X3U Championships in March, averaging 4.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in nine half-court games to 21.

The Overland Park, Kan. native was one of the leaders for the Hurricane in 2021-22, averaging 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting 45 percent and connecting on 42 percent (66-for-156) of his 3-point attempts.

Horne joins multiple TU basketball players who have featured in the prestigious tournament, including the likes of Ben Uzoh, Shaquille Harrison and DaQuan Jeffries, who all went on to play in the NBA. Harrison was recently named the 2021-22 Kia NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year.

The P.I.T was founded in 1953 and has been played every year except the past two due to the pandemic. Over the past 67 years, the P.I.T has been a showcase for five of the 50 greatest players in NBA History (Rick Barry, Earl "the Pearl" Monroe, Dave Cowens, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen) and for many others who have gone on to NBA stardom, including NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler.

All games will be livestreamed on PrepSpin. One day passes are available for $12, while a four-day tournament pass is $40.
