TULSA, Okla. ― The 40th ranked Tulsa men's tennis team dropped Friday night's match to conference foe and 49th ranked UCF 4-1. The loss snapped Tulsa's nine-match home win streak.

The Hurricane started off with an early advantage, winning the doubles point. The tandem of Connor Di Marco/Kody Pearson, who played at No. 1 doubles, knocked off No. 47 Hilderbrand/Pavel 6-3 for their first ranked win of the season, while Adham Gaber/Ezequiel Santalla, playing together for the first time, clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Callum Gale and Gaber were able to take their first sets, while Pearson battled back to tie it up at 5-5 in the third set, but UCF won No. 2, 3, 4, and 5 singles to claim the victory.

Tulsa will look to bounce back against No. 51 South Florida on Sunday at 9 a.m., and coffee and bagels will be given out to the first 50 students.
