Tulsa Travels to North Carolina to Face Charlotte and UNC-Wilmington

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa men's tennis closes out the regular season in North Carolina, traveling to Charlotte on Apr. 11 and UNC Wilmington on Apr. 12. The match at Charlotte starts at 12 p.m. CT, and the match at UNCW begins at 11 a.m. CT.

Gus Tettamble and Victor Tosetto gave Tulsa its only edge in doubles, building a 5-3 lead before leaving the match unfinished.
  • Singles brought tighter competition, but Rice secured the three wins it needed to clinch. Volonski dropped the first match in the No. 1 slot, falling 7-5, 6-3. Reiya Komagata battled but lost a first-set tiebreaker 7-6 (7-2) and fell 6-1 in the second. In the final completed match, Rice's Kabeer Kapasi outlasted freshman Ruben Fernandez 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
