No. 46 Tulsa Continues Homestand with North Texas, No. 19 UCF This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. ― The Tulsa women's tennis team, coming off consecutive wins over Oral Roberts and Kansas City, will continue its five game homestand when the Hurricane host North Texas tomorrow at 10 a.m., and No. 19 UCF at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

TU posted two shutouts last week, beating Oral Roberts 7-0 last Thursday before taking down Kansas City 4-0. It was the sixth and seventh shutouts of the season for Tulsa. With the two wins, the Hurricane moved up a couple spots to No. 46 in the ITA Rankings.

North Texas is 9-10 this spring, and 1-4 on the road. The Mean Green have closely dropped its past two matches, losing to Houston and UT Arlington 4-3.

UCF is 12-6 on the year. The Knights are the highest ranked American Athletic Conference team and are on a five-match win streak. UCF plays at SMU tonight before heading to Tulsa.

The Hurricane have posted impressive numbers so far, totaling a 58-29 singles record and a 36-9 doubles record. TU hasn't lost a doubles match since March 17th (four matches).

Free T-Shirts will be given out to the first 100 students (or fans, depending on availability) for Sunday's match against UCF. Admission to all Tulsa home matches is free!
