Tulsa ends the weekend as outright winners of the ORU Golden Eagle Classic after sweeping UTEP and defeating Oral Roberts and Abilene Christian in four sets. Tulsa's overall record increases to 5-4 after Saturday's win.

The Hurricane was led by setter Avery Kalsu, who had 28 assists and 23 digs. She also pitched in five kills.

Outside hitter Lauren Eitler followed up with 16 kills and 10 digs.

"Our team overcame a lot of obstacles this weekend and only dropped two sets," said Head Volleyball Coach Ryan Wills. "That showed toughness and poise. Every team we played this weekend challenged us in different aspects of their offense and our defense was flexible enough to keep us in these matches."

The Golden Hurricane will return to action this Thursday, September 15, and Friday, September 16, at the Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas.
