Tulsa's 22nd-ranked men's soccer team captured a 3-0 win over 11th-ranked Missouri State on Tuesday night at the Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Mo.  The Golden Hurricane moved to 4-1-1 on the season, while the Bears fell to 4-1-2 overall.

"We had to play very well today against a very good team," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said.  "I thought the guys' concentration level was good.  Missouri State put a lot of pressure on us, putting the ball in behind us, and we defended very well.  We moved the ball pretty well, we showed good strength in possession and we found the moments to go forward.  The group is continuing to grow, which is what we need to do every day."

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, September 25 against Charlotte beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

How it Happened
Malik Henry-Scott put Tulsa on the board at the 11:40 mark as he punched in a shot from 16 yards out up the middle.  Sergio Baena sent a forward pass to Alvaro Torrijos who then one-timed it to Henry-Scott for the goal.

Alex Meinhard one-timed the ball from the right side to the lower left corner at the 79:39 mark to put TU up 2-0.  Luke Jeffus passed the ball forward to Will Edwards who put the ball at Meinhard's foot for the goal.

Takayoshi Wyatt added a third goal for the Hurricane with just 25 seconds remaining in the contest.  Meinhard headed the ball to Wyatt who shot from 12 yards out.
