Tulsa's 22nd-ranked men's soccer team return to action on Sunday, September 25 against 10th-ranked Charlotte beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
The Tulsa-Charlotte game is Latino Heritage Night. The first 500 fans will receive a Vamos Huracan t-shirt, there will be a DJ for pregame and the Tamale Boyz food truck will be selling food.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Champions Fund Members who donate $300+ get in free.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. Tulsa is off to a 4-1-1 start, including a 3-0 win over #11 Missouri State and a 1-1 tie with #3 Kentucky. Alex Meinhard has a team-best four goals on the season, while Malik Henry-Scott has three scores. Meinhard also has a team-leading three assists. Eight TU players have scored a goal on the season, while 10 players have earned at least one assist. Alex Lopez has logged 450 minutes in goal, picked up 20 saves and allowed seven goals for a 1.40 GAA, while Cedrik Stern has played 90 minutes, recorded two saves and a clean sheet.
Charlotte is 7-0 on the season, including a 2-0 mark on the road. The 49ers are averaging 4.43 goals per game, while allowing just 0.29 goals per game. Kameron Lacey has a team-best six goals on the season, while Alex Willis has five scores and Sean Uber has four goals. Koby Carr has a team-high seven assists, while Brad Dildy has recorded five assists. Thomas Wallis has logged all 630 minutes in goal, picked up 19 saves for a 0.905 saves percentage and allowed just two goals for a 0.29 GAA.
The series between Tulsa and Charlotte is tied, 1-1, with both teams winning on their home field during the 2013 season.
