Tulsa Women’s Tennis Concludes Tulsa Invitational with 25 Wins

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team ended the Tulsa Invitational at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on a strong note after adding four singles wins and four doubles wins on Sunday for 25 total individual wins.

Tulsa went undefeated in doubles action and prevailed in four of seven singles matches.

Junior Oleksandra Nahurska finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record in both singles and doubles play after winning all her matches in the tournament.

On Sunday, she took down Morgan Cross of Arkansas in three sets after she and doubles partner Amy Leather defeated LA Tech duo Olga Bienzabos and Alexia Romero 7-6(5).

During the tournament, sophomores Maria Berlanga Bandera and Lily Hutchings went undefeated in their respective singles matches while senior Lian Benedejcic and sophomore doubles partner Myroslava Zelenchuk went 3-0 in doubles action.

Tulsa will send senior Laia Conde Monfort and sophomore Maria Berlanga Bandera to Cary, N.C. to participate in the ITA Women's All-American Championships. Monfort will compete in the main singles draw, and Bandera will play in the qualifying singles draw. The duo will compete together in the main doubles draw from Oct. 5 through Oct. 9.
