Tulsa's Monfort, Berlanga Drop Main Draw Matches Of ITA All-Americans

CARY, N.C. — Senior Laia Conde Monfort and sophomore Maria Berlanga Bandera of The University of Tulsa women's tennis team fell in their matches Wednesday during the Main Draw portion of singles and doubles play in the ITA Women's All-American Championships in Cary, N.C.
The duo fell 6-0, 7-5 to South Carolina's Ayana Akli and Sarah Hamner. Fiona Crawley of North Carolina defeated Monfort 6-1, 6-0 in morning singles action.
Monfort and Berlanga will team up for a consolation match Thursday after Monfort competes in a singles consolation match.
All Thursday match times will be posted Wednesday night on the official tournament page on the ITA website.
