WICHITA, Kan. — The University of Tulsa volleyball team lost to the UCF Knights in straight sets (17-25, 16-25, 9-25) Friday at the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kan.
The loss dropped the Golden Hurricane's record to 9-6 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
Outside hitter Kayley Cassaday finished with 13 kills on the day to lead the Hurricane offense. Setter duo Brayden Hipp (13) and Avery Kalsu (12) combined for 25 assists to boost the Tulsa attack.
The Tulsa defense was led by libero Marta Pecalli, who had 14 digs during the match.
The Hurricane will look to bounce back when it hosts SMU (9-6, 2-1 AAC) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7. Tulsa will host Memphis (11-5, 1-2 AAC) on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m.
