Tulsa's 12^th-ranked men's soccer team earned 4-0 win over crosstown rival Oral Roberts on Monday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 3-0 on the season, while the Golden Eagles fell to 1-2-1 overall.

"Our guys did a good job of breaking them down, being patient when we needed to be and then going fast when we needed to go fast," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We kept our discipline, we didn't really give up many counter attacks and we didn't lose our focus so overall I'm pleased with the group."

Tulsa will return to action against Kentucky on Sunday, September 11 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Stadium.

How it Happened:
Wes Bottenburg put Tulsa on the board with 14:24 ticked off the clock. He drilled in a shot from three yards out. Tom Protzek took the corner kick, Mariano Fazio headed it down in the box and Bottenburg had the finish.

Alex Meinhard gave TU a two-goal in the 21^st minute as he drilled a penalty kick into the lower left corner.

Austen Scheweinert added a goal for Tulsa at the 56:30 mark, and then assisted on Gustaf Rosengren's goal in the 65^th minute.

Game Notes:

With just 3:10 ticked off the clock, Oral Roberts' Joel Quashie was issued a red card, forcing the Golden Eagles to play a man down for the remainder of the contest.
Eugene Quaynor was issued a yellow card that ended with Alex Meinhards' penalty kick, and then picked up a second yellow for dissent at the 20:22 mark, forcing ORU to play with just nine men on the field.
Tulsa had a 24-2 lead in shots, including a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal
Tulsa had an 8-2 edge in corner kicks
All four of TU's goals were scored by four different players
