3-0 Start
•         Tulsa moved to 3-0 on the season for only the fourth time in school history and second time under Angie Nelp.
•         Nelp's first time in the 2021-22 season went out to a 10-0 start before its first loss.
•         The other years Tulsa started 3-0 came in 2004-05 (7) and 2003-04 (3).

35 & 30
•         Tulsa had a 30+ scorer in the first two games this year.
•         In the opener, Delanie Crawford scored a career-high 35 points with a stat line of 10-of-18 FG, 2-of-4 3PT and 13-of-15 FT.
•         Crawford's 35 points is the second-most in school history behind 38 scored by Jillian Robbins (Feb. 19, 2005) and Kendrian Elliott (Nov. 9, 2019).
•         In Tulsa's second game, Temira Poindexter scored her career-high with 30 points with a stat line of 12-of-17 FG, 3-of-7 3PT and 3-of-3 FT.
•         In the two games, the Tulsa duo scored 115 points for an average of 57.5 points, whereas the team, as a whole, averaged 87.5 points in those two games.

Bench is Coming On
•         After scoring just five points in the first game of the season, the Tulsa bench has totaled 37 points in the last two games – New Orleans and Northwestern State.
•         Against New Orleans, the Tulsa reserves scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.
•         In the Northwestern State game, the Hurricane bench tallied 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Gallegos Getting More Points
•         In the early going, Tulsa senior guard Katia Gallegos has shown her ability to score.
•         A year ago, in her first with the Hurricane, Gallegos averaged just 2.3 points, while shooting 23% from the field and 10% from behind the arc.
•         After three games, Gallegos averaged 10.0 points, while shooting 58% overall and 40% from three-point range.
•         In 20 games last season, Gallegos' season scoring high was nine points twice … after two games this year she already has two double-digit scoring games.
•         This year, she scored her Tulsa career-high with 18 points in the opener at Lindenwood.

Madi Shoots the Three-Ball
•         Freshman Madi Cartwright exploded in the first quarter against Northwestern State with 12 points, on 4-of-4 from behind the arc.
•         She ended the game with 15 points, knocking down another three-pointer … the 15 points bested her previous season-high of five points in the contest before.
•         On the year, Cartwright leads Tulsa in three-point field goal percentage at .583, connecting on 7-of-12 treys … she is 0-5 on two-pointers

Periman on the Boards
•         Sophomore Hadley Periman leads the Hurricane in rebounding after three games with 9.7 average.
•         She has two 10+ rebounding games this year, bettering her previous career-high of nine rebounds last year against UCA.
•         Periman had a career-high 12 boards in the second game of the season vs. New Orleans, and a game later pulled down 10 boards vs. Northwestern State.

A Defensive Presence
•         Senior transfer Caranda Perea and sophomore Hadley Periman have made a difference defensively for Tulsa … Periman as a starter and Perea off the bench.
•         A Temple transfer, Perea has averaged 3.6 defensive rebounds, has four blocked shots and two steals … she had a season-high 5 defensive rebounds and three blocks against New Orleans.
•         Periman, in her second season, has averaged 7.7 defensive rebounds and has three blocks and three steals … she had nine defensive boards vs. New Orleans and eight against Northwestern State along with game-highs of three steals and two blocks.

Tons of Points This Season
•         Of Tulsa's 89 points in the season-opening win at Lindenwood, three Tulsa players combined to score all but eight of those points.
•         The 81 points came from juniors Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter and senior Katia Gallegos.
•         Crawford had a career-high 35 points, Temira Poindexter was one-point shy of her career-best with 28 points and Gallegos tallied 18 points for the most points in her Tulsa career.

Career Points
•         Temira Poindexter ranks 18th with 896 points and is currently eighth in career points per game (14.7) at TU
•         Katia Gallegos has also reached the 1,000-point mark as she has 1,042 career points, including 967 in three seasons at UTEP and 75 points at Tulsa.
