LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –– After an undefeated start to the season, the Golden Hurricane will play somewhere other than the Donald W. Reynolds Center when Tulsa takes on Little Rock at the Jack Stephens Center on Saturday afternoon.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN+. Dorian Craft and Patrick Newton will bring fans the action. Tulsa fans can also catch the game on the Varsity Network app. Don King and JR Rollo have the call tomorrow. The Golden Hurricane football team will be on Big Country 99.5 FM as the Hurricane finishes its season at East Carolina.

Saturday marks the 13th meeting between the Trojans and Hurricane. Tulsa leads the all-time series 7-5, but Little Rock holds a 3-1 advantage at home. The teams last met on Nov. 26, 2021, in the Reynolds Center, where TU used a strong second half to win 77-63. Four Hurricane scored in double figures and Tulsa shot 55 percent from the floor in the second half to overcome a four-point halftime deficit. Little Rock was held to just 23.8 percent on field goals in the second half, including 0-9 from deep.

Tulsa enters the weekend with a 4-0 record for the first time since 2018-19 and is seeking its first 5-0 start since the 2009-10 campaign. Through the first four games, Tulsa has outscored opponents by a 17.7-point margin and have won every game by double digits. The Hurricane had five double-digit victories in the past two seasons combined.

PJ Haggerty leads four Hurricane who average double figures in scoring, putting up 18.8 points per game. He didn't slow down after earning conference Freshman of the Week honors, scoring a career-high 28 points in Monday's 90-30 win over South Carolina State. Haggerty knocked down 19 of his free throw attempts, which set a record in the Reynolds Center and was third best in school history. He's now scored 20 or more in consecutive games.

Cobe Williams is scoring 14.8 points per game, snapping his double-figure scoring streak on Monday. However, he found other ways to impact the game, recording six steals. Jared Garcia is averaging 11.3 points per contest and leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per game.

Little Rock won its season opener, but has dropped four straight since, including back-to-back losses to Georgia State. Despite its record, Little Rock has the ability to score a lot, averaging 80.4 points per game. However, its opponents haven't had trouble scoring either, putting up 86.2 per contest. At least one team has reached 80 points in each of Little Rock's four losses, and the Trojans have two games where both teams scored at least 90.
KK Robinson averages 19.0 points to lead the way, followed closely by DeAntoni Gordon's 18.2. Gordon and Robinson are also second and third in rebounding, pulling down 5.6 and 5.4 rebounds, respectively. Third leading scorer, Jamir Chaplin (13.6 points per game), leads the team in rebounding, cleaning the glass to the tune of 7.4 rebounds a game.

Following Saturday's game, Tulsa will have a week before the second road game of the season. The Hurricane will travel across town to play ORU in the next iteration of the Mayor's Cup. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. The game will air on the Summit League Network.
