• The first meeting came in the 1977-78 season, while the teams last met on Dec. 20, 2011, as the Horned Frogs won 60-43.
Crawford & Poindexter AAC Earn Player of the Week Honors
• In the first three weeks of the season, Tulsa juniors Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter were named two of the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week selections.
• Delanie Crawford earned all-conference accolades in the first week after averaging 21.7 points while shooting 57% from the field, 54%from 3-point range and 90% from the free throw line. She added 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
• In an 89-80 opening road win at Lindenwood, Crawford scored 35 points for the second highest single-game point total in school history.
• In the second week of the season, Crawford was named to the AAC weekly honor roll.
• On Nov. 27, Poindexter earned the AAC Player of the Week award after totaling 26.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists while leading Tulsa to a 2-1 record at the Van Chancellor Classic.
• Poindexter totaled 29 points against UAPB, 26 in a win over Clemson and 23 against 25th-ranked Mississippi State.
• It's the first weekly honor for both Crawford and Poindexter in their careers … Poindexter was named the Freshman of the Week eight times in 2021-22 and made the weekly honor roll six times last year.
Poindexter Near the Top in NCAA Stats
• Temira Poindexter ranks 8th nationally for scoring with a 23.3 average after seven games … Iowa's Caitlin Clark leads the nation with a 29.6 average.
• This week, Poindexter ranks second in NCAA stats for points scored (163), third for field goals (63), fourth for field goal attempts (135) and ninth for three-point attempts.
• With five 20+ scoring games this year, Poindexter now has 20 career games of 20 or more points.
Approaching 1,000
• Temira Poindexter enters this week needing just the 12th player in school history to reach the 1,000 point plateau.
• She currently ranks 12th on the school's all-time points list with 989 career points in 65 career games for a 15.2 average.
• points and is currently eighth in career points per game (14.7) at TU
• Another Hurricane player, Katia Gallegos has already reached the 1,000-point mark in her career with 1,075 points, including 967 in three seasons at UTEP and 108 points at Tulsa.
Going for 30
• Tulsa had a 30+ scorer in the first two games of the season.
• In the opener, Delanie Crawford scored a career-high 35 points with a stat line of 10-of-18 FG, 2-of-4 3PT and 13-of-15 FT.
• Crawford's 35 points is the second-most in school history behind 38 scored by Jillian Robbins (Feb. 19, 2005) and Kendrian Elliott (Nov. 9, 2019).
• In Tulsa's second game, Temira Poindexter scored her career-high with 30 points with a stat line of 12-of-17 FG, 3-of-7 3PT and 3-of-3 FT.
• In the two games, the Tulsa duo scored 115 points for an average of 57.5 points, whereas the team, as a whole, averaged 87.5 points in those two games.
Ahrray Returns
• Ahrray Young was back in the lineup for the ORU game after missing the first three games and the final 10 contests a year ago due to injury.
• She has averaged 6.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in her first four games back with a season-high of 12 points against UAPB.
• Young is shooting 61% from the field (11-18) and 50% from three-point range (2-4).
• A year ago, Young averaged 8.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists while earning AAC all- freshman team honors.
All-Around Player
• Delanie Crawford is not only scoring 19.7 points per game to rank second on the roster, but the junior has done it efficiently.
• Crawford has a .529 field goal percentage, .447 from three-point range and .861 from the charity stripe.
• Crawford is among the top-5 in The American for all three shooting categories – FG percentage (4th), three-point percentage (5th) and free throw percentage (4th).
• She is also second on the team for rebounding (6.3) and third for assists (2.1).

Gallegos Getting More Points
• In the early going, Tulsa senior guard Katia Gallegos has shown her ability to score.
• A year ago, in her first with the Hurricane, Gallegos averaged just 2.3 points, while shooting 23% from the field and 10% from behind the arc.
• Gallegos scored just 45 points in 20 games a year ago, while after seven contests this year she has totaled 63 points for a 9.0 scoring average.
• She has also averaged 3.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds and is shooting 54% from the field.
• Gallegos has four double-figure scoring games this year as compared to zero last season.
• She has scored her Tulsa career-high of 18 points twice this year, coming against Lindenwood and UAPB.
Periman on the Boards
• Sophomore Hadley Periman leads the Hurricane in rebounding after seven games with an 8.4 average, while that also ranks second in the American Athletic Conference.
• Periman has three 10+ rebounding games through the first seven games this year, bettering her previous career-high of nine rebounds last year against UCA.
• Periman had a career-high 12 boards in the second game of the season vs. New Orleans, and a game later pulled down 10 boards vs. Northwestern State and had 11 rebounds against UAPB.
A Scoring Exhibition in the Season Opener
• Of Tulsa's 89 points in the season-opening win at Lindenwood, three Tulsa players combined to score all but eight of those points.
• The 81 points came from juniors Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter and senior Katia Gallegos.
• Crawford had a career-high 35 points, Temira Poindexter recorded 28 points and Gallegos tallied 18 points for the most points in her Tulsa career.
3-0 Start
• Tulsa began the season at 3-0 this year for only the fourth time in school history and second time under Angie Nelp.
• Nelp's first 3-0 start came in the 2021-22 season with a 10-0 start before its first loss.
• The other years Tulsa started 3-0 came in 2004-05 (7) and 2003-04 (3).
