Newly Ranked No. 45 Tulsa to Host No. 56 Pepperdine, San Diego Match Canceled

TULSA, Okla. — Due to severe storms in the southern California region, The University of Tulsa men's tennis team (5-3) will now host No. 56 Pepperdine (2-5) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. The Golden Hurricane's dual match at No. 26 San Diego (7-3), scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24, has been canceled.

Sunday's home contest will stream on Track.Tennis.

At 2-5 to start the season, Pepperdine is coming off a 4-3 win over No. 34 UC Santa Barbara (9-1) in the Waves' home opener last week.

The Hurricane is 2-5 in the overall series with Pepperdine, including victories in the previous two meetings. Last season, Tulsa earned a 4-3 decision at home over the then-ranked No. 18 Waves.

Pepperdine will bring in two ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team on Sunday. No. 61 Daniel De Jonge and No. 124 Tim Zeitvogel lead the way in the Waves' singles lineup. Together, the pair forms the country's 36th-ranked doubles team.
