Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team, Six Student-Athletes Earn ITA Academic Honors

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa women's tennis team was recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team and six student-athletes were named Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced today.
 
The Golden Hurricane women's tennis team had a 3.64 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year. Amy Leather, Lian Benedejcic, Lai Conde Monfort, Lily Hutchings, Ana Naranjo Martinez and Myroslava Zelenchuk were honored as Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes.
 
To be recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average for the current academic year. Qualification for the ITA All-Academic Team requires a team to possess a GPA of 3.2 or above for the year.
 
In 2022-23, 1,513 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 234 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
