Tulsa's 16th-ranked men's soccer team earned a 4-1 win over Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Sunday night at the Hurricane Soccer Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 1-1 on the season, while the Vaqueros fell to 0-2 overall.
"We had a really good start to the game, especially coming off the short turnaround with the long road trip to Louisville," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We pressed really well and made improvement in that area of our game and that got us off to a good start. Tonight, we did a good job of putting our chances away and we want to keep growing in that aspect of our game."
Tulsa will return to action on Friday, September 1 at crosstown rival Oral Roberts beginning at 7:00 pm on the ORU campus.

Mike Eijgendaal put TU back up in the72nd minute as he headed in a goal from six yards out on rebound attempt taken by Sekiguchi that bounced off crossbar.
