Tulsa Golfers Tee-Off at The Schooner Fall Classic Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. –– Tulsa newcomer Allyn Stephens and senior Lilly Thomas will lead the Golden Hurricane women's golf team into action at The Schooner Fall Classic this weekend. The tournament takes place this Saturday-Monday, Sept. 23-25, at the par-70 Belmar Golf Club.
A strong 15-team field includes Florida State, Houston, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, New Mexico, North Texas, host Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Purdue, TCU, Texas State, Tulsa, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Stephens is coming off a second-place finish in her first career tournament, the Sam Golden Invitational, where she carded a 9-under par 135, playing as an individual at the event. Thomas also had a top-15 performance with a 13th place finish at 7-under par.
Sophomore Grace Kilcrease and juniors Lovisa Gunnar and Sydney Seigel will also be in action this weekend.
The 54-hole tournament will play 18 holes each day with the conclusion coming on Monday.
