TULSA, Okla. — The Golden Hurricane women's tennis team moves to 4-0 to start the year after earning a perfect 7-0 sweep over the cross-town Golden Eagles Friday in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The doubles point went to TU following a trio of wins to start the day. Maria Berlanga Bandera and Lily Hutchings raced out to a 6-0 finish in the No. 1 position before Tayla Wilmot and Ana Naranjo Martinez clinched the Hurricane's opening score in the third position.

Tulsa athletes took down their ORU opponents in no more than two sets each. Naranjo was the first to finish in the No. 4 spot with a 6-1, 6-0 score followed by Saniya Singh at the bottom of the lineup with a 6-0, 6-3 decision.

It was No. 125 Oleksandra Nahurska who clinched TU's 43^rd consecutive team victory over Oral Roberts in the No. 2 position with a 6-2, 6-1 performance. The teams elected to finish out singles play with Berlanga, Myroslava Zelenchuk and Lily Hutchings closing out the lineup.

Berlanga (11-30 and Nahurska (11-4) each picked up their 11^th wins of the year with the former reaching a seven-match win streak dating back to November. Naranjo and Wilmot remain perfect on the season at 4-0 at Doubles No. 3.

Tulsa will wrap up the five-match homestand in the Case Tennis Center on Sunday, Jan. 21, against Central Arkansas (0-0) at 10:30 a.m.
