Tulsa Golf in 9th after Opening Two Rounds of Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate

FORT WORTH, Texas –– The Tulsa women's golfers shot an 11-over, 295 in the second round on Monday to move into ninth place heading into Tuesday's final round at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate in Fort Worth.
The 11 teams partaking in the collegiate played 36 holes in the first day, starting with the first round at 8:30 in the morning. Tulsa shot 303 (+19) in the first 18 holes but bounced back to jump ahead of a pair of teams in the second round of the day.
Wake Forest leads the 11-team field with a 3-over 571 after carding rounds of 281 and 290. Texas A&M and Oklahoma State share second three strokes behind with a score of 574. Kentucky and SMU round out the top five in a tie for fourth after scoring 578.
Lovisa Gunnar and Sydney Seigel lead the Tulsa golfers in 19th and 20th heading into Tuesday's final round. Gunnar shot a +3 (74) in the first round and followed with a 1-over 72 leap up in the standings. Seigel shot 2-over (73) in her opening 18 holes before a 3-over (74) round. She carded seven birdies in her 36 holes, including three-straight in the second round on 14, 15 and 16. Gunnar scattered five birdies throughout her round.
Jenni Roller (45th) shot +11, Allyn Stephens (53rd) Carded a +13, and Norah Seidl (58th) is 18-over heading into Tuesday.
Oklahoma State's Grace Kilcrease and Thitaporn Saithip join Texas A&M golfer Vanessa Borovilos in a tie for first place at 3-under. Kilcrease has the low round of the tournament after shooting a 5-under 66 to open.
The final day of the Charles Schwab Collegiate tees off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start on Tuesday. The Tulsa golfers will start on hole 10.
