•      This is the 32nd meeting between Tulsa and Wichita State
•      WSU leads the overall series 22-9, winning 15 of the first 16 meetings between 1977 and 2000.
•      In the last six meetings, Tulsa has a 5-1 record against the Shockers, all under Angie Nelp.
•      Tulsa won the earlier meeting this season, 93-70, at home.
•      WSU has an 11-2 record at home … Tulsa's last win in Wichita came in the 2021-22 season by a score of 65-58.

•     Tulsa has an 8-4 American Athletic Conference record.
•     The Hurricane opened the AAC season two straight wins, before falling twice to even the league record at 2-2.
•     Tulsa is 5-1 at home and 3-3 on the road in league play.
•        Tulsa won four straight AAC games with wins at FAU and Charlotte and home wins against Wichita State and Rice, before losing at ECU then rebounding against first-place North Texas.
•        Tulsa lost a road contest at Rice, 78-66, before posting a 74-70 home win against UTSA in its last outing.
 
A Closer Look into Tulsa's 8-4 AAC Record
•        In Tulsa's eight AAC wins, the Hurricane has averaged 75.6 points (605), while holding the opposition to 65.2 points (522) for a 10.4-win margin.
•        Tulsa is shooting 45% from the field (213-473), 39.5% from 3-point range (85-215) and 69.6% from the free throw line (94-135).
•        Tulsa had season-highs in AAC play of 50% from the field vs. Wichita State (1-20), 59% from 3-point range against Rice (1/24) and .842 free throw percentage vs. Rice (1/24)
•     In the four losses, Tulsa has shot just 34.3% (72-210) from the field, 19.8% from 3-point range (17-86) and 59.6% from the free throw line (53-89).
•     The Hurricane had a season-low .280 field goal percentage against Temple.
•     In its four AAC losses, Tulsa has shot under 25% from three-point range in all four of those games.
 
Reaching Milestones
•      Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter have reached some career milestones in just their
        junior seasons.

•     Earlier this season, Poindexter reached 1,000 career points and now is sixth on the school's career scoring chart with 1,335 points.

•    Against UTSA, Poindexter became just the fourth player but the sixth time to reach 500 points in a season … she scored 20 points against UTSA to give her 509 career points.
•    Crawford is now seven points shy of joining Poindexter and becoming just the 13th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points … she now has 993 career points.  

What a Finish
•     Tulsa trailed by 13 points, 66-53, at the seven-minute mark against UTSA as the Roadrunners had outscored Tulsa 40-20 since the 4:04 mark of the 2nd quarter.
•     Temira Poindexter's 3-pointer with 5:21 remaining in the game cut the UTSA advantage to 10 points and began a 21-4 run to close out Tulsa's 74-70 come-from-behind victory.
•     Mady Cartwright followed with a 3-pointer and Delanie Crawford's fastbreak layup that trimmed the UTSA lead to 66-62 in just a span of 1:12.
•     Tulsa finished the game on a 10-1 run beginning with Cartwright and Poindexter again connecting on back-to-back treys, giving the Hurricane a 70-69 lead with just 1:27 left on the game clock.
•     The come-from-behind victory was the fifth 4th quarter comeback this season for the Hurricane, as well as the largest.
 
Poindexter Goes for 30 Again
•     Temira Poindexter had her third career 30+ scoring game with a career-high 33 points at
       Rice.
•     She connected on 11-of-22 field goals and 10-of-11 free throws, while adding 10 rebounds.
•     She now is tied for the second-most 30-point scoring games in the AAC, one behind ECU's
       Danae McNeal's four 30+ scoring games.
•     Poindexter also had 30 points vs. New Orleans (11/10) and 31 vs. Wichita State (1/20).
 
Tulsa Takes Down Co-Leader North Texas
•      Delanie Crawford scored a game-high 31 points in leading Tulsa to a 79-74 come-from-behind victory over North Texas on Feb. 4.
•      Tulsa took a 44-37 lead into halftime, but North Texas rebounded to outscore the
        Hurricane 16-8 in the third period for a 53-52 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
•     UNT went on a 14-5 run for the first 4:57 minutes of the fourth quarter for a 67-57 lead with 5:03 remaining in the contest.
•      Katia Gallegos' driving layup began a 22-7 run over the final 4:36 that led Tulsa to the victory.
 
Nelp Reaches 50 Wins
•     Tulsa's Angie Nelp won her 50th career game in her three seasons with a 65-55 win at
       Charlotte.
•     She now has a 52-31 record in her three years at Tulsa.
•     No previous Tulsa coach had reached 50 wins in their first three seasons … only three other
       Tulsa head coaches won more than 50 games in their careers.
 
Spectacular Junior Duo
•     Temira Poindexter and Delanie Crawford have made one formidable tandem for Tulsa.
•      The duo has combined to average 38.9 points for 56-percent of Tulsa's total points.
•      They have become the first pair of Tulsa players in the same season with multiple 30+ scoring games in school history, including three for Poindexter and two for Crawford.
•      They are also the second pair to score 400+ points in the same season … the others were Jillian Robbins (573) and Megan Moody (417) in 2005-06.
•      Poindexter has 509 points and Crawford 463.
•      Poindexter and Crawford have combined for 26 20+ scoring games this season.
•      The tandem is totaling 54-percent of Tulsa's field goals made, 59.2-percent of the team's treys and 59.6-percent from the free throw line.
•      The have also combined for 29.5-percent of Tulsa's rebounds and 35-percent of Tulsa's assists.
•      The pair ranks first and third in the American Athletic Conference for scoring – Poindexter (20.4) ranks first and Crawford (18.5) is third.

•    Tulsa has reached over 17 wins for the third straight year, all under Angie Nelp … the previous two seasons Tulsa finished the season with 17 wins.
•    Tulsa is 13-3 when leading after the first quarter and 14-4 when leading at halftime.
•    The Hurricane is 7-0 when two players reach 20 points in the same game, including 6-0 when the two players are Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter.
•    In Angie Nelp's three seasons, Tulsa has knocked down double-digit three-pointers in 31 of

•    With a 52-31 coaching record, Nelp has won the most games of any Tulsa coach in their first three seasons.

•       With 15 20+ scoring games, Poindexter leads the AAC in that category, while Crawford's 11 20+ scoring games is second in the league … Poindexter's three 30+ games is the second-most in the AAC.
•       Hadley Periman's four 10+ rebounding games ties for eighth-most in the AAC for games with 10+ rebounds.
•       Crawford's three double-doubles is tied for the sixth-most in the AAC.

•       Poindexter averages 16.1 points in 83 career games.
•       Poindexter needs nine points to tie Kelsee Grovey (1,344 pts, 2012-16) for fifth place.
•       She became just the 12th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
•       She reached the 1,000-point mark by scoring 15 points at TCU on Dec. 1, which was her 66th career game played … she became the second-fastest to reach 1,000 career points, behind Jillian Robbins (2003-07), who accomplished the feat in 63 games.

•       She had her second 30+ scoring night with 31 points against North Texas (2/4/24).
•       Crawford is just seven points shy of reaching 1,000 career points with 993 points in 80 career games and now ranks 13th on the school's all-time scoring chart
•       In 12 AAC games, Crawford has scored 19.7 points, while shooting .411 from the field, .391 from behind the arc and .852 from the free throw line.
•       Overall, Crawford is also second on the team for rebounds (148) for a 5.9 average and leads Tulsa in assists with 69 for a 2.8 average.
•       Crawford has 22 double-digit scoring games and leads Tulsa with three double-figure rebounding games and three double-doubles.
•       Against Rice (1/24) with the score tied 65-65, Crawford hit four straight free throws in the final 0:29 to help secure the win for the Hurricane.
