FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Tulsa women's tennis team entered the Billingsley Tennis Center looking to get back in the win column Friday, but it wasn't meant to be as the Arkansas Razorbacks halted TU in a 4-1 decision. The five-match losing skid drops the Golden Hurricane to 5-5, while the Razorbacks rise to 5-3.

The doubles point belonged to Arkansas as the Razorbacks grabbed a 6-2 win at the No. 2 slot followed by a 6-3 decision atop the lineup, leaving junior Ana Naranjo Martinez and freshman Tayla Wilmot unfinished in the No. 3 position.

In singles play, Arkansas extended its lead over Tulsa to 3-0 when Anet Koskel grabbed a 6-4, 6-0 decision in the sixth position followed by a 6-4, 6-4 win by Morgan Cross in the No. 4 spot.

Putting Tulsa on the board was junior Lily Hutchings, who battled for two set wins, 6-3, 7-6, with a 7-5 tiebreaker victory over Lenka Stata in the second frame to cut the Hurricane's deficit to 3-1. Hutchings moves to 8-5 overall and 6-4 in dual matches, all in the third position.

Arkansas would halt any momentum for a TU comeback when No. 79 Carolina Gomez took down junior Maria Berlanga Bandera in three sets, 3-6, 6-0, 6-1, to seal the Razorbacks' team win at 4-1. Fifth year senior Oleksandra Nahurska and freshman Erin McKenzie left their matches unfinished in the second and fifth positions, respectively.

The Tulsa women will be back in action at the 76^th Annual Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., from Feb. 23-24.
