TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa men's tennis team picked up their third and fourth consecutive wins Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in dominant 4-0 decisions, starting with the Senior Day match win over Temple in the morning and finishing on top against Lindenwood in the evening. TU rose to 13-12 on the year, while the Owls fell to 7-12 and the Lions 2-12. Tulsa honored seniors Callum Gale and Volodymyr Zakharov before the Temple match.

Tulsa began the day with an American Athletic Conference matchup with Temple on the outdoor courts of the Case Tennis Center. It was a battle for the doubles point as each team claimed a line in 6-4 results, starting with senior Thiago Pernas and freshman Victor Tosetto in the No. 3 position followed by Temple in the No. 1 spot. Gale and redshirt freshman partner Gus Tettamble broke the 5-5 deadlock to finish 7-5 over Martim Marujo and Paul Hannock for the second position, giving TU the opening 1-0 advantage.

Hurricane players had an easier time in singles play as Tulsa benefitted from straight-set wins in the top three positions by senior Pierce Rollins, Pernas and Gale with Gale getting the 4-0 team clinch with a 6-2, 6-1 finish over Marujo. Zakharov, sophomore Timothy Carlsson Seger and Tosetto each had the one-set advantage when they left their matches unfinished.
Later the day, Tulsa engaged Lindenwood for a second time this weekend after sweeping the Lions 7-0 on Friday. To avoid the heavy wins, the match was played indoors at the Case Tennis Center, where the Hurricane picked up where it left off to grab its second 4-0 sweep of the day.

The doubles point was claimed in two matches as Seger and Pernas rolled to a 6-1 win in the third position, and the reliable freshman duo of Tosetto and Alex Okonkwo clinched the opening team score in the second position, 6-2, over the Lions' Carlos Gonzalez and Fernando Martin Paz. With the win, Tosetto and Okonkwo improved their record to 12-3 on the year.

Tulsa enjoyed three more two-set victories in singles play, this time from Tosetto (6-3, 6-0) in the No. 5 position, Tettamble (6-2, 6-2) at the No. 6 line and Gale (6-3, 6-2), who clinched the ended the day's action in the second slot. Pernas, Zakharov and Seger each held the lead in the Nos. 1, 3 and 4 positions when they left their matches unfinished.

The Tulsa men will host SMU () at 5 p.m. Monday, April 15, for the regular season finale. Seedings and pairings for the American Athletic Conference tournament in Tulsa will be announced following the conclusion of the dual.
