RALEIGH N.C. –– After a two-week break, the Tulsa rowers will be back in action this weekend, Friday and Saturday, at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, hosted by Duke and North Carolina, at Lake Wheeler Park.
The strong field includes Boston College, Boston U., Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, Syracuse, Navy, Alabama, UCF, Iowa, Kansas, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, Penn, Tennessee, Tulsa and Washington State.
Tulsa will have boats in the 1st varsity eight, 2nd varsity eight, 1st varsity four and 2nd varsity four participating.
"The Lake Wheeler Invite is a race that I was eager to come to even last season as it's an extremely competitive blend of schools. We're excited to see how we match up against multiple universities ranked among the top-20 in the country as well as looking to take our opportunity to flip some very close results from earlier in the season," said Head Coach Brandon Campbell.
All Tulsa boats will race in both the morning and afternoon on Friday with a final morning race on Saturday morning.
