Golden Hurricane Finishes 11th at Folds of Honor Collegiate

Grand Haven, Mich. –– The University of Tulsa women's golf team shot a 14-over 302 on Wednesday to take 11th place at the Folds of Honor Collegiate on the American Dunes Golf Course.
The Golden Hurricane finished the three-day event +56, four strokes off Notre Dame (+52) for 10th and one in front of Howard (+57).
Arizona shot 6-under in the final day to capture the team title with a team score of +4 over the week, outpacing Florida State's +7 for the tournament and a -2 final day. Ohio State (+16) grabbed third, while Texas, Baylor and Michigan State all finished +19 and in a tie for fourth.
Sydney Seigel carded a 3-over, 75 on Wednesday to finish +11 for the tournament and lead Tulsa in 32nd place. The senior tallied her lone birdie of the day on the par-3 12th hole, her second time to do so this week.
Allyn Stephens also shot 3-over for the second consecutive day to finish +14 in a tie four-way tie for 37th. Stephens similarly birdied 12 on the final day of the tournament. Jenni Roller (+4) ended the week 16-over. Lovisa Gunner (+7) shot 18-over in three days and Norah Seidl moved up three spots in the final day with a +4 on Wednesday, finishing +27.
Tulsa golf will hit the course again in 10 days with the start of the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Oklahoma. The weekend tournament runs from Saturday, Sept. 21 through Monday the 23rd.
