Tulsa Rowing Heads to Omaha for Creighton Dual

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa rowing team is back in action this weekend as the Golden Hurricane will hit the water Saturday, April 12, for a head-to-head dual regatta with Creighton. The five-race regatta will start at 9 a.m. with races running every 15 minutes on Lake Carter in Omaha.

TU will put forth its First and Second Varsity 8 boats, First and Second Varsity 4 vessels and its Third Varsity 8 crew, all of which are coxed.

Kicking off the action at 9 a.m. will be the 3V8/4V8 race. Tulsa's Cali Campbell, a junior, is set to cox Tulsa's 3V8 boat against the Bluejays' third and fourth Varsity 8 boats for the day's only 2-on-1 showdown.

9:15 a.m. marks the start of the 1V4+ contest, which will be led by true freshman Gizelle Medina. Following at 9:30 will be TU's 2V8+, coxed by junior Anna Lackner, and the Hurricane's 1V8 crew at 9:45 to be coxed by junior Bri Gfroerer.

Tulsa will wrap up the regatta with the 2V4+ race at 10 a.m. Freshman Aubrey Duggan and her crew will look to capitalize and end the day on a high note.
