NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Tulsa women's team took on the American Athletic Conference's top team in Florida Atlantic on Saturday, falling in a 4-0 decision to the undefeated 14-0 Owls on Tulane's home courts in New Orleans. The Golden Hurricane dropped to 15-6 overall with two regular-season matches left to play.
Doubles play came down to the wire as positions one and three went to a seven-point tiebreaker set at six games all. Tulsa had a court advantage after a 6-1 win by seniors Ana Naranjo Martinez and Mariana Manyoma Velasquez in the two-spot, but Florida Atlantic would close out 7-6 victories to escape with the coveted doubles point.
