Women’s Tennis Prepares for Top-10 Test vs. Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa women's tennis will host No. 6 Oklahoma at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Admission is free and fans will receive pizza while supplies last.

  • Since OU and Tulsa first faced each other in 1976, the Golden Hurricane are 9-30 against the Sooners. Last season held the most recent match between the two competitors, with Oklahoma earning a 6-1 win over Tulsa.
  • OU is coming off a successful ITA Kickoff Weekend, having punched a ticket to the ITA National Indoor Championship by way of wins over Memphis and #9 Stanford, 4-0 and 4-1, respectively.
  • The Sooners are undefeated in 2026, going 6-0 so far this season.

  • The Golden Hurricane secured the doubles point with wins in spots two and three. Maria Santos and Carolina Alonso opened doubles play with a convincing 6-2 victory, while Lilitha Ndungane and Erin McKenzie followed with a 6-4 win to clinch the point for Tulsa.
  • Tulsa carried the momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Carolina Alonso added a 6-3, 6-1 result at No. 3 to secure the win, her second clinch in a row.
