Women’s Golf Sits in Second After Round One

AIKEN, S.C. – The Tulsa women's golf team sits in second place after the first round of play at the Annika More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America. The Golden Hurricane shot a round of two-over par 294.
Columbia leads the tournament after the first 18 holes as they shot one-under par. They were the only team under par for the day. To view the complete leaderboard, click here.
Allyn Stephens shot her third round of the season at par or better in the first round of the tournament. She was one under par 72 in the first round. She is one of four players under par after the first round. She is three shots off the lead.
Sitting in a tie for fifth place is Samantha Olson. Olson, who is coming off back-to-back top-five finishes, shot even par 73 during the first round of the tournament. She is tied with four other golfers. This is her eighth round at par or better on the season.
Jenni Roller sits tied for 10th after the first round, as he is one-over par 74. Sitting at three over par after her first four holes, Roller answered with a par and her first birdie of the day. She parred the next 11 holes before closing the day with a birdie on her final hole.
Freshman Zoe Shamy continued her strong freshman season as she is tied for 14th after shooting two-over par 75. Romaine Masserey rounded out the Golden Hurricane in the field as she was four-over par 77 and is tied for 27th.
Tulsa returns to action on Monday, March 2, for the Second Round of the Annika More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America. Tulsa will play the second round with Columbia and Denver. TU will tee off starting at 10:20 a.m. until 11 a.m. from hole one.
