Women’s Golf Heads West For GameAbove Golf Invite

TULSA, Okla.  –  The Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's golf team heads to the west coast to participate in the GameAbove Golf Invitational. The event will take place at Rolling Hills Country Club, in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.
 
The GameAbove Golf Invitational was created to elevate visibility for women's golf while providing a high-level competitive platform, the GameAbove Golf Invitational features a field including over 10 of the NCAA's top-100 women golfers and several top-ranked programs.
 
The 54-hole tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
 
The last time the team took the course was March 1-3 at the Annika More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America. TU earned its second straight top five finish of the season.
 
Samantha Olson led the team as she her third straight top five finish. She finished tied for third for the tournament. She had two rounds at par or better over the 54-hole event. Tulsa placed three girls in the top ten, Allyn Stephens finished in fifth place, while Jenni Roller finished tied for seventh.
 
Following the GameAbove Invitational Tulsa heads to Tallahassee, Fla. to participate in the Florida State Match Up. This event will run March 20-22 at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

THE COURSE
Rolling Hills Country Club, a premier country club in California. Experience exceptional golf at one of Southern California's leading country clubs. The 7,090-yard course was uniquely designed in the traditional links style of Scotland's top courses.
 
The course is par 72 at 6,564 yards.

THE FIELD
Tulsa is one of 11 teams competing at the GameAbove Golf Invitational. Joining the Golden Hurricane are hosts Eastern Michigan and No. 2 Southern California, Long Beach State, Hawaii, No. 11 UCLA, SMU, No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Texas A&M, Colorado and No. 22 Arizona.

Competing for Tulsa in the event are Samantha Olson, Jenni Roller, Allyn Stephens, Zoe Shamy and Romaine Masserey.

TEE TIMES
Play will begin on Monday with play coming off holes 1 and 10. Tulsa will be paired with Hawaii and five individuals. Play will begin at 10:40 a.m. CT starting on hole 10. Romaine Masserey will start things off for TU at 10:40. Zoey Shamey (10:50 a.m.), Allyn Stephens (11 a.m.), Jenni Roller (11:10 a.m.) and Samantha Olson (11:20 a.m.) follow for the Golden Hurricane.
