  • Title:
    Assistant Coach
Jared Helin was named assistant women’s golf coach at The University of Tulsa in June 2023. He came to Tulsa following six seasons at Kansas State (2017-23), spending his final season as associate head coach and the previous five years as an assistant coach.

In his first year at Tulsa, Helin helped lead the Golden Hurricane to the 2024 NCAA Championship Finals, runner-up at the American Athletic Conference Championship and two tournament victories.

At K-State, Helin instantly made an impact in the spring of 2017 by helping guide the Wildcats to a win in their first tournament, the Westbrook Invitational. Kansas State, which also finished third at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate in April, earned a bid to postseason play for the fifth time in school history when it competed in the NCAA Athens Regional.

A Kansas native, Helin helped four Wildcats rank in the top 10 in school history for single-season stroke average.

In his first full year as an assistant coach, he helped bring along a freshman-dominated lineup that was mixed with one of the best golfers in program history. Thanks in part to Helin, the four freshmen came together to rank K-State fifth in the nation in the Golfstat Freshman Class Impact Ranking.

Before his coaching stint at Kansas State, Helin was the assistant golf professional at Colbert Hills Country Club for two years. He began working full time at Colbert Hills in July 2014, overseeing staff management and tournament operations in addition to golf instruction, while serving as a Volunteer First Tee Junior Golf Coach. While at Colbert Hills, Helin worked concurrently for Acushnet Company as a Titleist Product Specialist.

Helin started at Colbert Hills as a four-year member of the pro shop staff prior to spending time as an assistant golf professional at Wamego Country Club.

A Titleist Certified Expert Club Fitter, Helin was the 2012 Kansas Golf Association Four-Ball Champion and a 2014 Mid-Am Kanza Cup Qualifier.

Helin graduated from Kansas State in 2015 with a degree in social sciences. The Colby, Kansas, native also attended Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, California in 2008.
