Tulane Snaps Volleyball's Winning Streak at 10

New Orleans, La. - Sophomore Sara Radosecevic continued her mastering of the Golden Hurricane, as she posted 23 kills in a 3-1 (32-30, 30-25, 26-30, 30-25) win over The University of Tulsa on Sunday afternoon at the Fogelman Arena.
Junior Kassiana Urnau led TU with 19 kills and 13 digs for her 14th double-double this season. Fellow junior Julia Silva also posted 50 assists for the Golden Hurricane. Seniors Germana Hillario and Amy Meyer recorded 14 and 10 kills apiece, with junior Fabiola Nepomuceno contributing 11 kills.
Sophomore Malorey Grove posted four of TU's seven service aces on the match. Defensively, Silva and senior Ivana Krejcirova recorded six blocks apiece as the Hurricane recorded 24 block assists during the match.
The loss is the first for the Golden Hurricane in league play this season. Tulsa had won 10 consecutive matches after Friday's win over UTEP. TU, now 19-4 on the season and 6-1 in C-USA play, will continue its road swing with matches against Memphis and UAB next week.
