Tulsa Cruises to Fourth Straight Win

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Ben Uzoh scored 15 points and Brett McDade added 13 in the second half as Tulsa extended Rice's losing streak to 15 games with a 68-37 victory Wednesday night.
The injury-plagued Owls (3-22, 0-12 CUSA), battled hard and trailed just 23-18 with 2:09 to play in the first half, but were outscored 8-0 before halftime. Tulsa opened the second half with a 10-3 run to extend the lead to 41-21 and built the lead to 35.
Ray Reese added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Hurricane (14-10, 6-6).
The Owls, who have lost all five starters to injury at various points in the season, shot just 32.7 percent, including 15.4 percent on 3-pointers. Tulsa outrebounded Rice 36-28 and forced 19 turnovers.
Tulsa, meanwhile, shot 49 percent and 40 percent (8-20) on 3-pointers.
Patrick Britton paced Rice with 10 points and Lawrence Ghoram had eight.
Uzoh broke a 12-12 tie with two consecutive driving baskets to give Tulsa the lead for good.
McDade, who did not attempt a shot in the first half after scoring a career-high 26 points in Tulsa's last game, scored seven points in the first three minutes of the second half.
He made 5 of 6 field goals, including all three of his 3-point attempts.
