No. 21-Ranked Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team Plays Host To In-State Rival Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa's No. 21-ranked women's tennis team hosts in-state rival Oklahoma at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
 
The Golden Hurricane goes into the Wednesday's match with an overall 12-2 record, while the Sooners enter the match 5-5 overall.
 
TU's Rongrong Leenabanchong and Martha Matoula enter Wednesday's match ranked No. 79 in doubles play, as announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
 
In Saturday's match, Tulsa will face OU's Emma Devine and Lily Miyazaki who are nationally ranked No. 84 and No. 89 in singles play, respectively.
 
Last weekend, TU lost to No. 13 Wichita State in a 5-2 decision, while OU lost to in-state rival No. 10 Oklahoma State, 5-2.    
 
The Hurricane is 6-2 against ranked opponents this season and has posted an impressive 8-1 record when playing at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
