Women's Tennis to Host #5 Oklahoma State on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team is set to host in-state rival No. 5-ranked Oklahoma State at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Tulsa has won four of the last five against OSU (5-0 overall) on their home courts with the last win coming by way of a 4-3 victory in 2014.
Tulsa is currently 5-1 and will head into Sunday's matchup with the 2016 NCAA runner-up with seven events completed in 2017. Tulsa holds a 5-3 advantage over Oklahoma State since 2010 while the Cowgirls have won three straight and both meetings last year that included a second-round matchup in the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Hurricane boast a 79-26 singles record through 11 events in 2016-17 for a winning percentage of .752. Tulsa has six individuals with 10 or more wins while five players have lost three or less matches. Senior Marcelina Cichon heads into weekend play on a 10-match winning streak, needing three sets just once during her streak.
Tulsa is also in action this evening in Dallas, Texas at the Bent Tree Country Club as they are scheduled to take on North Texas at 6 p.m.
