TULSA, Okla. — After back-to-back road games, Tulsa returns to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for a 6:30 p.m. matchup on Saturday, Jan. 13, against No. 5 Wichita State in the first-ever Havoc in the Heartland men's basketball game.

The Golden Hurricane (10-7, 3-2) got a career-high 27 points out of sophomore Martins Igbanu in Thursday's game at Houston. The Lagos, Nigeria, native is averaging 18.3 points and 6.8 rebounds over his last four games and his 15.6 ppg during American Athletic Conference play leads the team. TU will look to improve to 8-1 at home this season and remain unbeaten during the month of January (12-0) since joining The American.

Meanwhile, the Shockers (14-2, 4-0) are riding a season-best six-game winning streak after a 95-60 win at ECU on Thursday. WSU returns 12 letterwinners and all five starters from last year's team that went 31-5 and won the Missouri Valley Conference. Landry Shamet leads the team at 15.8 points and 5.1 assists per game.

Wichita State leads the all-time series, 65-61, but TU holds a 35-27 lead in Tulsa. The Hurricane took a 77-67 win over the ninth-ranked Shockers on Nov. 17, 2015, in the last matchup at the Reynolds Center.

Points are awarded for head-to-head regular-season victories in volleyball, basketball and softball or a higher finish at conference championships in cross country, tennis, track & field and women's golf. A trophy will be awarded to the school with the most points at the end of each Academic Year. The annual Graduation Success Rate will be used as a tiebreaker.

TU currently leads the series, 15-6, via a women's basketball victory (3pts), along with the Golden Hurricane men's and women's cross country teams finishing higher at the American Athletic Conference Championships (6pts each). WSU's six points come from two victories in volleyball (3pts each).
