Tulsa Volleyball Set for First Road Conference Matches

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball squad (11-4, 3-0) heads to the Sunshine State this weekend to square off with two conference foes, UCF on Friday, Oct. 5 and USF on Sunday, Oct. 7.
The first matchup with UCF (12-3, 3-0) takes place in Orlando, Florida, at 6 p.m. CT. UCF is currently ranked atop the American Athletic Conference, but the Golden Hurricane owns a 12-6 record all-time against the Knights.
On Sunday, Tulsa heads to Tampa, Florida, for another conference battle against USF (13-3, 2-1). Despite only seven meetings between the programs in history, the Hurricane owns a 4-3 record all-time against the Bulls.
Last weekend, the Golden Hurricane made history, defeating Wichita State on Saturday, Sept. 29 in a 3-2 thriller at the Reynolds Center. The win against the Shockers was Tulsa's first since 1998, and snapped Wichita State's 22-0 conference record since joining the American in 2017.
Head coach Ryan Wills' bunch is perfect at home this season, recording an impressive 7-0 mark in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The record includes a perfect 3-0 showing at the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational, three AAC victories and a non-conference win over North Texas.
