Tulsa Places 5th at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate as Freshman Lorena Tseng Finishes in 9th Place

DENVER, Colo.– The Tulsa women's golf team finished in 5thplace and freshman Lorena Tseng placed 9thindividually at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Hurricane finished the 54-hole event with a final round 287 for an 885 final score at the par-72 Highlands Ranch Golf Course.
 
Tseng carded a final round 3-under par 69 and moved from 24thplace at the start of the day to 9thplace with a 2-over par score of 218. Tseng has now placed among the top-10 in her first three collegiate tournaments. Fellow freshman ShaeLee Scarberry also turned in her best round of the tournament with a 1-under par 71 and finished in 17thplace with a 221 total, her best performance of the year and her second top-20 finish.
 
Tulsa senior Johanna Samuelsson finished in 24thplace with a 3-round score of 223 after turning in her second straight day of 1-over par 73. Sophomore Taylor Dobson placed 50thwith a score of 299 and senior Olivia Jackson finished in 59thplace with a 230 total score.
 
Colorado State claimed the team title, leading from start to finish, as the Rams had a 4-under par 860 behind Ellen Secor's medalist score of 3-under par 213 total.
 
Tulsa will be in action next at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Oct. 21-23, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
