TULSA, Okla. — University of Tulsa junior DS/L Taylor Horsfall earned a spot on the American Athletic Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season, the conference announced on Monday.

The Tulsa DS/L has also earned the nod on Sept. 3, Oct. 29 and Nov. 11 this season, bringing her total up to four in 2018. Horsfall also earned the laurel of American Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1.

Horsfall's honor results from another exemplary performance on the back line for the Golden Hurricane. The Texas native racked up 39 digs this past weekend, which averaged a lofty 6.50 digs per set, as the team went 1-1 on the road this weekend.

Head coach Ryan Wills' bunch traveled to Storrs, Connecticut, for a Friday face off with UConn. Horsfall managed 19 digs in the three-set match, to go along with a service ace. In Sunday's match, the team swept Temple, while Horsfall accumulated 20 digs and a career-high five kills on a .308 clip.

The Golden Hurricane fell to UConn on the road on Friday, 3-0. Despite the loss, the squad rebounded with a convincing sweep over Temple on Sunday, notching the 10th sweep of the season for TU. The team sits at a 19-10, 11-6 overall record, slotting it at fourth in the American Athletic Conference.

Wills' squad rounds out the regular season this week, as the Golden Hurricane travels to Kansas for a Havoc in the Heartland matchup with Wichita State on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., and is scheduled to air on ESPN3.
